Rinpoche with community leaders

Siddhartha's Intent

Siddhartha's Intent (SI) is the principal organization through which Rinpoche's vision is realized. Founded to serve as a decentralized network of Buddhist study and practice, SI operates through branches across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australasia.

SI coordinates Rinpoche's global teaching schedule, supports monastic communities, organizes large-scale empowerments and retreats, and provides a framework for Western practitioners to engage with traditional Tibetan Buddhist practice in an authentic, modern context.

Unlike many Buddhist organizations, SI emphasizes intellectual rigor alongside devotional practice, reflecting Rinpoche's conviction that understanding and faith must walk together.

Modern Buddhism's
Unconventional Voice

Rinpoche's influence extends beyond traditional Buddhist circles. He is a commentator on global affairs, a social media provocateur (his Facebook posts regularly challenge conventional thinking), and a bridge between East and West. His willingness to use popular culture — from Marvel films to cryptocurrency — as vehicles for Dharma teaching makes him uniquely relevant to contemporary seekers.

He has taught at universities including Harvard, Yale, and the School of Oriental and African Studies, bringing Buddhist philosophy into academic discourse while maintaining the living transmission of practice.
